Volkswagen is planning to cast a new performance diesel version of the hatchback after seeing the success of Polo GT TSI. 

 

The company has not given any confirmation regarding the new vehicle. Looking at the specs of the petrol model one can guess a bit about the oil burner. It is expected that the new variant will be available only in the top spec version with features from standard polo. It will be powered by a by the 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine from the Vento, developing 103bhp and 250Nm of torque. The diesel Polo GT will have better fuel efficiency and performance than Vento sedan Highline diesel
