Canara Bank is India’s third-largest nationalised bank. The Ministry of Finance of India owns it. Bengaluru is home to the company’s headquarters. The bank was founded in Mangalore in 1906 by Ammembal Subba Rao Pai and had branches in London, Hong Kong, Dubai, and New York.

Under the name Canara Hindu Permanent Fund Ltd. The bank’s name was changed from Canara Hindu Permanent Fund Ltd to Canara Bank Ltd in 1910.

Over the course of its 100-year history, the bank has gone through several stages in its growth trajectory. Canara Bank’s growth was tremendous, especially the following nationalisation in 1969 when it became a national player in geographic reach and clientele categories.

For the Bank, the 1980s were marked by increased commercial diversification. The bank celebrated its centenary in the Indian banking market in June 2006. How to register for Canara Bank Netbanking services?

Step 1: Go to https://www.canarabank.in/ to access Canara Bank Netbanking.

Step 2: Next, select ‘Net Banking Lite (Retail)’ from the dropdown menu that appears.

Step 3: Select ‘New User’ from the drop-down menu that appears.

Step 4: You’ll be led to a website that includes a list of all the terms and conditions that apply.

Step 5: To complete the registration procedure, click on the ‘I Agree’ option.

Step 6: Enter your account information such as account number, debit card number, registered cell phone number and customer ID in the registration form.

Step 7: At the very bottom of the form, click the ‘I Agree’ box.

Step 8: Next, you’ll see a screen with a transaction reference number on it. You’ll also get an OTP that you’ll need to type twice on the screen.

Step 9: You must click the ‘Submit’ button after you have entered the OTP.

Step 10: If you haven’t received the OTP within the allotted time frame, you can request another one by clicking on the ‘Regenerate OTP’ option.

Step 11: Select your login password, double-enter it, then click on ‘Submit.’

Step 12: The registration procedure will be complete once you’ve successfully submitted your application. Your user ID will be shown along with a success message.

How can I log in to my Canara Bank Netbanking account?

Step 1: Go to https://www.canarabank.in/ to access Canara Bank Netbanking.
Step 2: Select ‘Net Banking Lite (Retail)’ from the dropdown menu that appears.
Step 3: Before clicking ‘Login,’ provide your user name, password, and captcha.
Step 4: You’ll be sent to your account dashboard, where you may choose from all the services you’re eligible for.

How to transfer funds on the Canara Bank Net Banking portal?

Step 1: Visit the Canara Bank Net Banking official site at https://www.canarabank.in/ as the first step to use this service.

Step 2: Enter your user ID and password on the netbanking interface and log in to your account.

Step 3: On the dashboard, select the ‘Funds Transfer’ menu. In the Beneficiary Maintenance section on the left, select ‘Add Beneficiary’ if you need to move money to a different account number.

Step 4:  You have the choice of doing it “Within Canara Bank,” “Transfer to Other Bank (NEFT/IMPS),” or “Transfer to Other Bank (RTGS).

Step 5: Next, you’ll see a form that’s tailored to the transaction type you selected earlier.

Step 6: A form will appear if you select a transaction type that requires a form. Complete the beneficiary’s name, account number, and IFSC information.

Step 7: Complete the beneficiary’s name, account number, and IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) before submitting the form.

Step 8: Select ‘Add’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 9: Make sure that the information you entered is right before moving on to the next step; click “Confirm” to finish. Otherwise, use the ‘Back’ button to go back and enter the erroneous information again.

Step 10: Input your transaction password. During this time, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number you provided during registration. Click ‘Submit’ after entering the OTP into the ‘OTP Password’ area.

Step 11: After the beneficiary has been added successfully.

Step 12: Depending on the beneficiary, select ‘Within Canara Bank’ or ‘Other Banks’ from the left menu.

Step 13: Click on ‘Other Banks’ and then on IMPS, NEFT, or RTGS from the drop-down menu.

Step 14: Enter the required information, such as the debit account and beneficiary name. When you enter the beneficiary’s name, the account to which the funds will be credited and the beneficiary’s IFSC are immediately filled in. Next, enter the money to be moved and the reason for the transfer, if any. Finally, select ‘Continue’ to proceed.
