Skoda Auto along with Kushaq together target 10% more of the mid-size SUV market
The mid-size SUV manufactured by Skoda and Kushaq will be the first vehicle under the India 2.0 initiative to come into the mainstream market with made for India products. This mid-size SUV is designed and formulated with 95% of local content with all inputs from forthcoming Indian buyers.
Over competitors like Hyundai Creta, Kia, Seltos and Renault Duster; Skoda is very confident that Kushaq will get hold of a minimum of 10% of market share or will sell a minimum of 3000 to 4000 units in a month. The Czech carmaker Skoda Auto can claim 10% off market share as there are only two major dominant players in this field as said by the brand director at Skoda Auto India.
The mid-size SUVs that are manufactured have fulfilled some major criteria especially for the Indian users like the safety of the passengers, driving dynamics and the strong engine performance of the car.
Skoda auto India expects its sales to almost triple to 30000 units in 2021 with 80% of its volumes or 24000 units of new midsize SUV. The company furthermore aims to double its volumes in 2021.
The all petrol portfolio of all the cars will get them the targeted market share of 10%, over Hyundai motor India and Kia which holds 50% of their sales of Creta and Seltos which are diesel-powered vehicles. The TSI engines of the cars are superior and deliver all the attributes of power performance and fuel efficiency.
