Anil Agarwal Request PM Modi’s Help to Reopen The Copper Plant

Anil AgarwalThe Tamil Nadu government was forced to arrange a lasting shutdown of the copper smelter after bleeding fights at the plant in Thoothukudi which ended with the police  shooting at demonstrators, killing 13 of them.

Billionaire Anil Agarwal has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for help in reviving his gathering’s copper plant at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, arguing that the conclusion of the plant two years back has prompted a flood in copper imports, nullifying the point of Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign.
The Tamil Nadu government had in May, 2018 arranged a perpetual shutdown of the copper smelter after wicked fights at the plant in Thoothukudi.

In a two-page letter to Modi, Anil Agarwal said the conclusion of Vedanta’s copper Sterlite plant and warm force plant has affected our nation in numerous manners – the nation has become the net merchant of copper without precedent for the two recent decades and a large number of labor has been rendered jobless.
