Assam feels the heat because of the rise in petrol prices

Continuous increases in fuel prices in Assam have caused an impact on the pockets of common people whose budget is already suffering the impact of a covid-19 pandemic. Assam‌ ‌feels‌ ‌pinch‌ ‌as‌ ‌petrol‌ ‌price‌ ‌hits‌ ‌a‌ ‌ton.‌

Petrol has already crossed the 100-rupee mark in most of the districts and is going to hit the century mark in other parts of the state. Premium quality petrol has already been sold at the price around 100 to 103 rupees in places like Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Nalbari, Silchar etc. whereas regular one was sold at 95 to 99.

On Sunday, the premium petrol was Rs 99.54 per litre in the capital city, while the regular was 95.27 litre. In Guwahati diesel was sold at Rs 88.68 litre, Rs 89.45 per litre in Dibrugarh, Rs 89.80 in Darrang and Rs 89.42 in Silchar.

The price of diesel and petrol was increased 16 times in June and 2 times in 4 days of July. This increment has badly hurt the monthly budget of common people in this time of crisis we all are facing.
