Citroen India to commence home delivery from the factory
Citroen announced on Wednesday that home deliveries of the C5 Aircross SUV, the company’s first model in India, have begun. The company, which is part of the Stellantis group, which was founded by the merger of two global auto giants, FCA and Groupe PSA, is taking online reservations for the vehicle and will subsequently deliver the SUV to consumers directly from its Tiruvallur (near Chennai) manufacturing plant. It is the country’s first sales initiative of its kind. 
Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Kochi, and Gurugram are among the ten cities where Citroen has showrooms. In addition, it has established a 100% direct online ordering option for its flagship model for customers outside of these cities. So far, the organization has implemented the home delivery strategy in 50 different regions around the country.

Thus digitization is a significant priority area not only for the brand but also for the Stellantis group, “Joel Verany, Stellantis India Vice President-S&M Efficiency, stated.
Vats stated that the firm intends to expand its sales infrastructure in the country as it prepares to launch a new model in the country next year that would focus on producing volume for the manufacturer. Citroen has already announced that it will launch four models in India over the next four years, starting in 2021.
