Ford’s Indian Factories are now traded
This year Ford is on the verge of wrapping up all its Indian manufacturing operations and factories like Maraimalainagar and Sanand. Ford, the American automaker, is now trying to negotiate with various car companies to manufacture and sell.
Recently it has been in talks as the company is offering its factories to OLA to build electric cars.
The OLA spokesperson is unwilling to talk about the conversation with this company and wants to continue to evaluate the capital allocations in India. They further tried to trade with MG, Chandan and Great Wall, but due to the geopolitical tensions at the Indo China border, they showed minimal interest.
Mahindra and Mahindra was another one with whom the talks of the company went at an advanced level. However, the automobile company is witnessing uncertainty in long term development prospects, which has resulted in severe challenges, including capacity utilisation.
