Fuel prices are reaching a new high in Mumbai

The Oil Marketing Companies in Mumbai affect petrol and diesel price after keeping them on hold on Wednesday. The petrol prices increased by 26 paise and are now selling at ₹ 97.76 per litre, while diesel prices rose by seven paise and are at ₹ 88.30 per litre today in New Delhi.

Petrol and diesel prices in Chennai were at Rs 98.88 and Rs 92.89 per litre, respectively, while in Kolkata, petrol and diesel price stands at Rs 97.63 and Rs 91.15 per litre. However, petrol prices have already crossed the Rs 100 mark in many parts of the country. Petrol inParassala southernmost town of Kerala crossed Rs 100 on Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, Congress plans to launch an agitation against inflation and rising fuel prices, according to sources on Monday. According to reliable sources, the Congress party is preparing to hit the streets against petrol and diesel price hike and inflation.

Top leaders of Congress are likely to make a strategy to agitate against the rising fuel prices and inflation to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting will be held via video conference and starts at 10 am.

Recently, Congress also held a nationwide demonstration against the high prices of petrol and diesel.
