Gold prices jump
New Delhi: On Monday, Gold in the national capital New Delhi jumps by Rs 69 to Rs 46,408 per 10 grams, in line with the firm current global trends, according to HDFC Securities. Previously, the precious metal was closed at Rupees 46,339 per 10 grams.
Silver has also jumped by Rs 251 to Rs 69,035 per kg, as it was Rs 68,784 per kg in its previous trade. The yellow metal was trading higher at $1,793 per ounce, and the silver was uniform at $26.60 per ounce in the international market.
The HDFC Securities Senior Analyst Tapan Patel said, “The decline in US currency (dollar) index boosted purchase in gold for the day.” Motilal Oswal Financial Services Commodities Research Vice-President Navneet Damani added, “The precious metals prices have edged higher amid a plunge in the dollar and increase in fear regarding Covid-19 variants.”
