Medical Fraternity stands out in the tackling of COVID-19

Rajesh Bhushan, Union Health Secretary of the country on Doctor’s Day said that the medical fraternity has stood in tackling the pandemic. In history, doctors efforts will be recorded in golden letters.  A virtual event of IMA was organised to pay tribute to healthcare workers who lost their lives in COVID-19. Since last year, the country is fighting against COVID-19 and the medical fraternity is managing to do its best.  Medical Fraternity stood out in tackling COVID-19: Union Health Secretary

V K Paul (NITI Aayog Member) and Randeep Guleria (AIIMS Director) also attended the event. Paul said that while keeping professionalism high have worked day and night. He paid his tribute to the services offered by corona martyrs. 

Guleria mentioned that this pandemic has taught us to increase vaccination to fight against the pandemic. He further added that for the past year, health is at the stake in the country. We must restrict ourselves from going out and use IT as a lot can be done with its help. 

Health Secretary also mentioned that Central and State governments have not left any stone unturned under Pardhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package. All the insured members will get the claim in time. He added that telemedicine services are very important.

Ketan Desai said that doctors have done a lot of sacrifices for the people of the country. This day must be mentioned as COVID Martyrs Day. He further added that pandemic has affected the lives of the people but doctors have been serving the nation selflessly.
