Considering the challenges faced by the borrowers during the pandemic, Muthoot Finance launched the “[email protected] service”, a fit-for-purpose innovation that helps customers monetise their gold ornaments without going out of their homes.
The Managing Director, Muthoot Finance, Mr George Alexander stated that With [email protected], we are initiating to take the Muthoot Finance to the borrower’s home. Now the customer can avail of a gold loan from the comfort of his or her home without having to go to the branch at any stage of the process.
He further added that concerning the economical circumstances of people across India, they may be finding it difficult to approach the branches to do business due to the movement restrictions. Such apprehensions are especially apparent among higher net worth customers.
It is an app-based digital service. The customer can apply for a Loan through the dedicated Mobile App and Web Portal, or the iMuthoot Mobile App, or just give a call at the Muthoot Finance call centre.
As soon as the inquiry is verified and accepted, a real-time customer due diligence will take place through a video-based KYC process. This is further followed by scheduling a visit to the borrower’s home by the company’s executive.
With the loan at home, the services are now being taken to the customer rather than them coming all the way to the branch to avail of the services.
