The price of petrol reaches close to Rs. 100

The latest petrol price has reached Rs. 99.86 per litre in Delhi whereas the diesel rates have reached Rs. 89.36 per litre. Whereas in Mumbai, the cost of petrol is Rs. 105.92 per litre and the cost of diesel is at Rs. 96.91 per litre. In Kolkata, the petrol is at Rs. 99.94 per litre and diesel is at Rs. 92.27 per litre. The rates of the fuel are heading up their journey since May after the rates were hiked by the OMCs. The prices of the fuel vary from state to state and it mainly depends on the extent of the local taxes. The rates of the fuel have already breached the mark of Rs. 100 in most of the states. The price of petrol is touching the mark of Rs. 100 in Delhi after the fresh hike on Monday.

This really seems to be of no good for the common man as the prices of fuel are continuing to rise in the country. The state-run oil making companies have been raising the prices of the fuels. 

The rate of diesel has increased 34 times in the last two months whereas the prices of petrol has crossed the mark of Rs. 100 per litre in 14 States and the Union Territories which includes Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Sikkim, Punjab, Bihar, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
