Petrol and Diesel Prices Dropped Down Today

Diesel prices in India were cut on Thursday by 10-11 paise per litre across all major metro cities. After prices were cut, petrol now costs Rs.71.09 per litre, and diesel costs Rs.65.81 per litre within the capital, Delhi. In Mumbai, petrol is being sold at Rs.76.72 per litre, and diesel is out there at Rs.68.91 per litre. Petrol rates in Kolkata and Chennai were Rs.73.18 per litre and Rs.73.80 per litre, respectively, while diesel rates stood at Rs.67.59 Rs.69.52 per litre. The new rates are effective from 6:00 am IST on 31 January 2019. Fuel prices have risen by quite Rs.2 per litre this month within the country. Petrol and diesel prices have declined since 18 October 2018 after the Centre decided to chop excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs.1.50 per litre. It asked oil companies further to subsidize the worth by another Rs.1 per litre. Before the cut, petrol prices had touched a record high of Rs.84 per litre in Delhi and diesel was priced at Rs.75.45 per litre.
