Tata Harrier SUV spotted wearing black alloy-And Bigger than Jeep Compass
Tata Motors prepares for the big launch of Tata Harrier, last week the company announced that bookings are now open for the SUV and bookings can be confirmed for Rs.30,000 online or by visiting a dealership. The development of Tata Motors is in line with the growing interest around the car which is scheduled for launch later this year.
The company draws Tata Harrier from Land Rover’s D8 architecture, which boasts of a million SUVs, sold globally. Tata Harrier is still being tested extensively across India and was recently spotted in Bangalore by an automotive enthusiast who wants to remain anonymous. As per the company, Tata Harrier is going to be bigger than the Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass in size. If you are looking at the numbers, Jeep Compass is 4395 mm long, 1818 mm wide and 1640 mm tall. On the other hand, Hyundai Creta is 4270 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1665 mm tall. Tata Motors has not revealed the dimensions of the Harrier yet. The company did reveal the dimensions of the H5X concept, on which the Harrier is based. The Harrier is 4575 mm long, 1950 mm wide and 1686 mm tall. Considering that the Harrier is closely based on the H5X, it is very much possible that Tata Harrier is longer, wider, and taller than all other rivals in the segment.
Tata Harrier 5-seater monocoque SUV platform has been extensively tested over 2.2 million km of diverse terrains. With power coming from a 2.0 L KRYOTEC diesel engine, Tata Harrier sports the company’s Impact 2.0 Design language.
Tata says Harrier will feature intelligently designed luxurious interiors, connectivity, and infotainment. Because of its brilliant architecture and KRYOTEC engine performance, Tata Harrier is set to create new SUV benchmarks basis. Expect the Harrier to be priced aggressively in the Rs 13-16 lakh range.
