Petrol and Diesel prices remain constant
After yet another price hike on Tuesday once again, the fuel rates finally came to a halt on Wednesday. In Delhi, Petrol remained at Rs 97.50 per litre and at Diesel Rs 88.23 per litre, both still being at a cost that can make a hole in one’s pocket.
Whereas, the Petrol price stayed at Rs 103.63 per litre today in Mumbai. Diesel also remained constant at Rs 95.72 a litre, making it one of the highest among metro cities.
Across India, even though the fuel prices remained unchanged, they did have minor changes depending on city to city basis. There were constant hikes in fuel prices on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday last week, and on Monday and Tuesday this week.
The prices had increased 4 days earlier to the last week as well. The constant hikes in fuel prices are said to be a direct action to balance the expenditure on the free COVID vaccinations and packages announced by the government
Petrol prices crossed the Rs 100 per litre mark already in certain cities and towns of the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh.
