Banks open in these seven states and closed in the cities on April 14

On  Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, banks would be closed on April 14. According to RBI, banks will remain closed on these days in these cities. The Tamils new year is on April 14. In RBI Negotiable Instruments Act, there are festival and weekend holidays up to 15 days. In towns like Aizawl, New Delhi, Raipur, Chandigarh, Shillong, Shimla had opened the banks.

Banks in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Lucknow, Kochi, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, and many others states had a holiday on April 14. Banks are shut-in these days, but ATMs, mobile banking, and many other things are functional.Banks

The banks ard closed on the above mentioned days apart from Wednesday. The other specific holidays are 15 April has Bengalis New year. 16 April is of Bohag Bihu. On April 15, the banks are closed in these cities like Agartala, Guwahati, Ranchi. In Guwahati, there is a holiday on April 16 too.
