CBI to raid houses of SBI staff
The CBI-Vishakhapatnam has intensified investigation into the alleged gold loan fraud worth Rs.7.07 crore in the SBI’s Sakhinetipalli branch in East Godavari district.
A Central Bureau of Investigation team led by investigating officer Mr Manohar Reddy on Thursday conducted raids on targeted locations, including houses of the SBI staff of the Sakhinetipalli branch.
The Central Bureau of Investigation had registered a case against Mr Venkata Ramana Murthy, cash-in-charge, on the charges of criminal conspiracy, forgery and breach of trust. In addition, the SBI also initiated departmental action against 4 other staffers for their role in the scam.
