What is EPF Claim Status?

 After retirement, The Employee Provident Fund (EPF) is a  savings plan that is funded by both employee and employer contributions. Withdrawing money from an EPF account until it matures is only feasible in some conditions.

You can verify the status of your claim online using your UAN after you’ve applied for a withdrawal of funds, whether it’s a partial withdrawal before maturity or a full withdrawal at maturity (Universal Account Number). As a result, in order to check the status of an EPFO argument, you must first activate your UAN.

EPF Claim Forms

If you intend to take money out of your EPF account, you must first determine if the cause or situation for which you want to take money satisfies the eligibility requirements for making a partial or complete withdrawal. If you meet the requirements, the next step is to complete the claim form.

The EPF Withdrawal Forms vary depending on the cause for withdrawal, your age, and whether or not you are currently working.

All you need now is your Aadhaar number and an active UAN account to send the withdrawal form.

Step 1: If you are withdrawing due to unemployment, plan to take an EPF advance, or have left the institution due to physical disability and are under the age of 58, you must complete the Composite Form.

Step 2: If you want to finance your LIC scheme, you’ll need to fill out Form 14.

Step 3: If you’re applying as a candidate, you’ll need to fill out Form 28 and Form 10D if the deceased served for ten years. You must fill out the Composite Form if the deceased did not complete 10 years of service.

How to Check/Track for EPF Claim Online?

For each method of verifying the status of an EPF argument.

By using the UAN Member Portal

This is one of the simplest methods for checking the status of your EPF claims online. The measures are as follows:

Step 1: Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ to access the UAN portal.

Phase 2: Fill in your UAN, password, and captcha now. Then press the ‘Sign in’ button.

Step 3: You will be guided to your UAN member profile after clicking on “Sign in.” Select the ‘Online Services’ choice from the drop-down menu in the tab menu on this page.

Step 4: Select ‘Track Claim Status’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: The next page the status of your EPF claim, as well as ‘Transfer Claim Status’ if you scroll down.

Through EPFO Portal

You can verify the status of your EPF claim on the EPFO website by following the steps below:

Step 1:  Go to the EPFO website at https://www.epfindia.gov.in/.

Phase 2: Next, go to the ‘Services’ tab and look for the ‘For Employees’ choice.

Step 3: Next, go to the ‘Services’ section of the page and pick ‘Know Your Claim Status.’

Step 4: The EPFO portal will then display the button ‘Click here to be redirected to the passbook application’ as part of the following step. In order to be routed to the passbook portal, you must press the presented button.

Step 5: Now you must log in to your account using your UAN, password, and captcha code.

Step 6: After logging in and entering your account details, you will see the option to ‘View Claim Status.’  EPF claim, select that option.

Through Umang APP

To confirm your EPF argument online, download the Umang app. The method is as follows:

Second, if you don’t already have it, download the Umang app. Look for the word “EPFO” in the app and press it.

Step 2: From the drop-down list, pick “Employee Centric Services.”

Step 3: Select ‘Track Claim’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Enter your UAN and click on “Get OTP” to complete the process.

Step 5: Your EPFO-registered mobile number will receive the OTP. Click on the ‘Login’ option after entering the OTP got.

Step 6: On the next page, you’ll see a list of all the claims made on that UAN, from the tracking ID to the claim raised date, claim status, and so on.

Apart from the multi-step online methods, you can also verify the status of your EPF claim using offline methods such as a phone call. 011-22901406 is the EPF claim status contact code. It’s a toll-free number, and you can only dial it from your registered phone number. When you call the number, it is immediately disconnected, and you will receive an SMS with information about your PF claim status.

Through Missed Call

At the Unified Portal, a mobile number has been enabled with a UAN.

Any KYC from the following list must be available against the UAN.

Through an SMS

You can also check  EPF claim by sending an SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile phone. The format of the SMS must be ‘EPFOHO UAN LAN.’ The ‘LAN’ in this format refers to the language code in which you want to receive the information. The table below shows the different languages and their codes.

SMS must be submitted from the UAN’s registered mobile phone. EPFO will give you the details of your most recent PF contribution and balance.

What is the protocol for logging into my PF account?

When the status of an EPF argument indicates that it is not available, what should you do?

If an EPF employee has not changed the status of your claim, the ‘Not Available’ status is shown. The rest of the time, it’s due to a technical problem. As a result, you can keep track of your claim for a while and, if the issue continues, you can file a complaint on the EPFO website.
