To enable payments in a contactless way, Yes Bank on Thursday in partnership with UDMA Technologies announced the launch of ‘Yuva Pay’, a digital wallet. Yuva Pay via Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Bharat Bill Pay will allow people to pay LPG, DTH, mobile phone bill, license fee, utility bills like municipal, house, water tax, electricity, windmill, and solar park fee, sanction fees, building, and billboard taxes.
Yes bank said in a statement that school fees can also be paid through the facility besides EMI payment, fastag recharge, insurance renewal.
The statement also said that “The first live program of the solution will be implemented by the Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department, Karnataka, and the first phase will cover 158-gram panchayats with 238 villages,”
The statement also mentioned that around 12 million households will be covered across with the help of 6,200 gram-panchayats and 29,000 villages subsequently in the second phase.
